Environmental Policy
Our Business Environment Support Team can help you to formulate an environmental policy, which is a written statement outlining your organisation's mission in relation to managing your environmental effects and aspects of your operation.

An appropriate Environmental Policy is needed for organisations intending to obtain certification to ISO 14001 and BS 8555.

Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Our Business Environment Support Team can advise on options and guide your business through the entire process of adopting an Environmental Management System (EMS). There are a number of different levels at which a business can choose to manage all environmental issues comprehensively and systematically. We can help you qualify for ISO14001 (the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems) or the more flexible 'stepwise' British Standard of BS8555 (to obtain any of the six levels), to help meet your environmental supply chain pressures, open up new markets and maintain your competitive edge.

The Business Environment Support Team can help you to develop a structured implementation programme, tailored to your company's requirements. And will also provide hands-on practical assistance and advice on certification processes for your management system.

* Groundwork Merseyside’s time to deliver and administer the certified training courses is provided free of charge to SME’s on Merseyside. However, certification is charged by the examining body at £25.00 per person.
